THE MEMBERS OF THE COLLEGE OF POSSIBLE WORLDS
In the process of being constituted, and very much evolving, it is composed of personalities who define the major themes concerning the evolution of the world, invite speakers, and pose a controversy. The members of the college participate in the work, each time, under appropriate forms (conference or seminar animation, etc.).
RÉGIS DEBRAY
Writer, philosopher and French civil servant
Régis Debray is a writer and philosopher. He is the director of the journal Médium and honorary president of the European Institute of Religious Sciences. His most recent book is Civilisation (Gallimard, 2017).
JEAN FRANÇOIS COLOSIMO
Historian, essayist and theologian
Director of the Cerf publishing house. Lecturer at the Saint-Serge Institute of Orthodox Theology, specialist in the Orthodox world and Eastern Christians since his essay Le silence des anges (Desclée De Brouwer). Last book published: Les hommes en trop : La malédiction des chrétiens d'Orient (documents, Fayard, 2014). To be published: Aveuglements (Le Cerf, February 2018).
SYLVAIN BOURMEAU
Journalist and sociologist
Sylvain Bourmeau is a journalist, producer of La suite dans les idées on France Culture and associate professor at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales. He was deputy editor of Les Inrockuptibles and Libération, and participated in the creation of Mediapart.
MAËL RENOUARD
Writer and philosopher
Maël Renouard is a professor of philosophy and a former student of the ENS Ulm. He has taught at the University of Paris-I, as a temporary teaching and research assistant, and then at the ENS Ulm. He is also a member of the Center for Literature, Philosophy and Morality (CRRLPM). He is a translator of Schnitzler and Nietzsche, a former advisor to François Fillon, and the author of essays on Julien Gracq and Yves Bonnefoy. He won the December 2013 prize for La Réforme de l'Opéra de Pékin (Rivages).
JOSEPH ZIMET
Director General of the Mission du Centenaire de 14-18
Historian and specialist in remembrance issues, Joseph Zimet has worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Defense, where he was in charge of cultural and remembrance policies. After writing a report on the 14-18 Centenary submitted to the President of the Republic, he was appointed in 2012 as Director General of the Mission for the Centenary of the First World War.
