THE POM'S - THE OMNI'SPORTS POLE
In 2009, the Coeur Côte Fleurie Community of Communes acquired a facility adapted to national and international champions, the Pom's (Pôle OMni'Sports), located in Deauville.
It is a venue for high-level sports events and training sessions for the greatest competitors. It has already hosted, among others, the French handball, volleyball and basketball teams, as well as the world karate champions. The facility also offers the inhabitants of the territory a multitude of activities that can be practiced in the same space, allowing many licensees to practice their favorite sport, and receives schools and leisure centers (it can accommodate 4 and 6 classes simultaneously).
The first floor includes a 1,296 square meter floor dedicated to team sports, meeting national and international standards. In its extension, a room of 616 m² is exclusively reserved for table tennis, a dojo with a tatami of 12m x 13m allows the practice of martial arts, and a boxing room also serves as a muscle strengthening room. This level also includes several locker rooms and offices that are shared by the clubs and associations of the territory.
On the first floor is the public area with a large grandstand with 323 seats and a club house that can be divided into two parts, an observation area and a waiting area for the accompanying persons.
The Pom's is part of a global equipment including also outside a stadium, the Commandant Hébert stadium, including :
- 1 natural grass soccer field, approved by the French Football Federation
- 2 locker rooms of 25m2 to federal standards
- stands with 1500 seats, 380 of which are seated
- 1 natural grass training field
- 1 athletics track (synthetic surface) with 3 lanes around the field
- 1 high jump and long jump track
- 1 velodrome
- 1 clubhouse
It is also located about 500 meters from the Intercommunal leisure park.
