The 1st International Marathon in Deauville in the top 10 of French marathons
The inDeauville area is hosting a marathon for the first time, thus enriching its range of sporting events. The 1st International Marathon in Deauville will take place on November 17th. With 6,000 registrants since its first edition, the event has been sold out since September and is already among the top 10 marathons in France.

This first edition brings together four event formats - marathon, marathon relay, half-marathon and 5 km to open the event to all - on a new course that will lead participants through the paths and roads of the inDeauville area: starting from the Planches de Deauville, their efforts will be rewarded by the beautiful autumn colors of the Auvergne countryside and a final straight line of 2 km for an unforgettable finish by the beach. In total, nine towns will be crossed by the runners: Deauville, Saint-Arnoult, Tourgéville, Vauville, Saint-Pierre-Azif, Saint-Etienne-la-Thillaye, Glanville, Bénerville-sur-Mer and Blonville-sur-Mer.
Seduced by the setting of Deauville, participants come from all over France (30% from Normandy, 35% from the Paris region, 18% from Hauts-de-France), but also from the United States, Greece, Morocco, Portugal, Italy... and even Burundi and Australia.
If there are 6,000 people registered at the start, a total of 15,000 to 20,000 people will take advantage of the accommodation, restaurants and shops during the weekend: a registration for a sporting event such as the marathon means an average of three people travelling (participants and accompanying persons).
Traffic conditions during the Marathon
In order to allow for the smooth running of this event, traffic and parking will be modified according to the following plans. On the entire course, traffic will only be allowed in the direction of the race, the opposite direction will be prohibited. Temporary signs have been put in place and volunteers will direct vehicles.
The D27 road between Varaville and Deauville will be closed from 8 am to 3 pm, at the level of La Croix d'Heuland, a detour will be set up to get back to the A13 at La Haie Tondue until Deauville (free section).
