Laure Adler

Invited to the 2017 Books & Music Festival

Laure Adler started at France Culture in 1974 as a journalist then participated in several television programs. In 1990, she became project manager at the Elysée for culture. In 1992, she was appointed director of documentaries and cultural programs on France 2. From 1999 to 2005, she directed France Culture. Writer, she is the author of essays and historical works, including The First Journalists (Payot) and Women politicians (Threshold), and biographies: Marguerite Duras (Gallimard - Femina Essay Prize), Françoise Giroud (Grasset) and In the footsteps of Hannah Arendt (Gallimard). In 2013, she published her 1er novel, Les immortelles (Grasset). She is the producer of the show The blue Hour on France Inter.
