Launch of the Meeting de Deauville Barrière!

It's official, the August Meeting opened yesterday at the end of the day after the traditional ribbon cut. Guillaume Capard, 1st deputy mayor, David Parré, general manager of the Resort Barrière de Deauville, partner of the Meeting, Matthieu Vincent, director of racetracks and training centers of France Galop, and Franck Le Mestre, director of the racecourse of Deauville – La Touques, gathered in front of the main arch of the racecourse to open the doors to the summer public.

The international elite of the Galop look forward to seeing you this summer at the Deauville-La Touques racecourse for the Meeting de Deauville Barrière! Until August 30, no less than 23 Group races, including 7 labeled Group 1, will pit the best thoroughbreds from around the world against the most talented jockeys. Thursday semi-nights

Big news for 2020: the Hippodrome tavern, the summer chill out event! Every Thursday, tables are set at the Black Type for the most trendy open air associated with a gourmet, musical and sporting program. The races start halfway through the night and spectators can spend the afternoon in a Guinguette atmosphere and extend the evening, after the races, at the Black Type bar. We sit comfortably on its huge lawn terrace to share an aperitif with friends or family bought from the stands and other food trucks: oysters, cold cuts, salmon plates, wines, cocktails, cider, savory and sweet pancakes, sandwiches, ice cream ... Every Thursday from 16 p.m. to 23:30 p.m.

Entertainment for the whole family

Children can have fun too! Throughout the Meeting, theDeauville-La Touques racecourse hosts the Village Galop Kids, an entertainment area dedicated to children. Activities for all ages, and for all tastes, such as pony baptisms, sack races, stick horse races and Ponycycle - the pedal horse. Big novelty this year: inflatable and bouncing horses. And to share memories, an Instant Photobooth in the form of a starting stall will be installed in the alleys of the racecourse for original photos.
