The French Association of University Graduates

Norman guest in the lead 2019

The AFFDU was founded in the aftermath of the First World War by French university women, convinced as their American and British friends, that the education of girls is both a factor of peace and the key to the advancement of women.

The AFFDU is an association recognized in 1901 as a Public Utility.

It allocates financial aid to young girls in order to pursue higher studies at doctoral level and participates in work on the professional integration of women graduates of Higher Education and on their access to positions of responsibility.

It places its international action within the framework of FIFDU, a non-governmental organization (NGO) recognized by UN agencies, in particular UNESCO.
