The French Association of University Women Graduates
Guest Normandes en Tête 2019
AFFDU was founded in the aftermath of the First World War by French women academics who were convinced, like their American and British friends, that girls' education was both a factor of peace and the key to the advancement of women.
The AFFDU is a non-profit association recognized as being of public utility.
It awards financial aid to young women to pursue higher education studies at the doctoral level and participates in work on the professional integration of women graduates and their access to positions of responsibility.
Its international action is carried out within the framework of IFUW, a non-governmental organization (NGO) recognized by the UN agencies, notably UNESCO.
