Launch of the Deauville Barrière Meeting!
It's official, the August Meeting opened yesterday at the end of the day after the traditional ribbon cutting. Guillaume Capard, 1st deputy mayor, David Parré, general manager of the Deauville Barrière Resort, partner of the Meeting, Matthieu Vincent, director of the racecourses and training centers of France Galop, and Franck Le Mestre, director of the Deauville-La Touques racecourse, met in front of the big arch of the racecourse to open the gates to the summer public.
The biggest races of the summer
Prix Rothschild, Darley Prix Morny and Darley Prix Jean Romanet... These names sound like the unmissable events of the summer! This year, 19 days of races will be held every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The grand prix of the Meeting will be scheduled during the Sunday meeting:
- Sunday August 2: Prix Rothschild
- Sunday August 9: LARC Maurice de Gheest Prize
- Sunday August 16th : Prix du Haras de Fresnay-Le-Buffard - Jacques Le Marois
- Sunday August 23: Darley Prix Morny and Darley Prix Jean Romanet
- Sunday August 30: Lucien Barrière Grand Prix of Deauville

Thursday semi-nights
New for 2020: the Guinguette of the racecoursethe chill out meeting of the summer! Every Thursday, the tables will be set up at the Black Type for the trendiest open air event associated with a gourmet, musical and sporting program. The races start in semi-nocturnal and the spectators can spend the afternoon in a Guinguette atmosphere and extend the evening, after the races, at the Black Type bar. You can sit comfortably on its huge grass terrace to share an aperitif with friends or family bought from the stands and other food trucks: oysters, charcuterie boards, salmon plates, wines, cocktails, cider, sweet and savory crepes, sandwiches, ice creams... Every Thursday from 4pm to 11:30pm.
Activities for the whole family
Children can have fun too! Throughout the Meeting, theDeauville-La Touques racecourse hosts the Galop Kids Village, an entertainment area dedicated to children. There are activities for all ages and for all tastes, such as pony rides, sack races, stick horse races and Ponycycle races - the pedal horse. New this year: inflatable and bouncing horses. And to share memories, an Instant Photobooth in the form of a starting stall will be set up in the alleys of the racecourse for original photos.
Free admission for nursing staff
France Galop supports the caregivers in the fight against COVID-19 and wishes to thank them by offering them their entry (General Entry category) on its Deauville-La Touques racecourse (upon presentation of their valid professional card at the entrance).
