The events policy is the inDeauville asset
Events throughout the year to boost the number of visitors to the region
Culture, foot races, equestrian sports, racecourses, traditional festivals... there are many opportunities to come to the region. The territory's main cultural events continue to grow, boosted by targeted communication plans. The objective is to attract audiences who make a cultural program a reason for a vacation or a weekend. Media partners accompany their deployment. This is the case, for example, with SANEF, the 107.7 freeway radio station present in Deauville in the summer for 6 hours of live coverage of the beach and each year at the Planche(s) Contact Festival.
Culture & Tourism feed each other

The cultural and heritage offer represents one of the main tourist assets of France. [...] It is one of the main reasons for French and foreign tourists to visit France, regardless of their country of origin.

What will move us forward in 2019

The Micro-Folie until September
This multicultural and multifunctional place opened on December 22 at Point de Vue. The Micro-Folie concept, which is being deployed throughout France, has the same ambitions as the Franciscaines: to disseminate cultural content, to encourage creation and creativity, and to be a place of conviviality and exchange. It has attracted 6842 visitors in its first two weeks of operation.

For this anniversary edition, the Festival's team is shaking up the programming.
Equestrian sports strengthened by the Pôle International du Cheval Longines Deauville

In 2019, the Pole will benefit from the Longines partnership, whose international involvement in the equestrian world is well known. This is an important asset that will enable it to develop its visibility. The best international riders are not mistaken. Very recently, Félicie Bertrand, Clément Boulanger, Tony Hanquinquant, Robert Breul or Astier Nicolas have settled nearby and use its high quality facilities.
Ongoing activity:
11 events organized by external companies,
13 official competitions organized by the Pole,
646 horses present during the Warm-up (training),
1 300 boxes rented during competitions,
13 000 commitments,
78 days of competition.
Racecourses, the foundation of summer attendance

For Franck Le Mestre, director of the Deauville-La Touques racecourse, "2018 was a good year with an increase in the average basket of visitors and paying entries. Devices to attract families have been put in place: bouncy castle, among others, and new animations. Over the year, more than 80 000 visitors came to the racecourse. The last quarter is particularly good".
The Hippodrome de Deauville-Clairefontaine celebrated its 90th anniversary with the excellence label. Tripadvisor. 44 935 visitors pushed open its doors to watch the races (137 over the 2018 season). 72 guided tours allowed visitors to discover what goes on behind the scenes.
Running is becoming part of our landscape

The tennis industry: one of the priorities for work in 2019

In Touques, the Deauville-Trouville Open has been creating the event for two years. It has grown by +50% between 2017 and 2018, driven by a fine line-up of players (David Goffin, member of the world's top 10 / Alizé Cornet, French No. 3), a very strong communication plan, themed days for youngsters and a high level of partnership.
The Open benefits from the support of local authorities and private companies. The enthusiasm for its courses has given wings to all the local clubs who have decided, under the impetus of the SPL Territoire de Deauville, to better organize their offers in a complementary manner.
Multiple meetings all the time: inDeauville machine to create conviviality
Flea markets, children's workshops, guided tours, shows for young audiences, readings, nature outings, traditional festivals... The SPL Territoire de Deauville's entertainment and sports division has taken charge of organizing a wide range of activities and events that reinforce the calendar of events.
It is impossible to list them all, as they are so numerous. Three of them bear witness to the diversity of the proposals and the dynamic that has been set up across the eleven communes.
