Created in 2014, this great Nordic walking day event * on the Côte Fleurie is organized by the association Les Normandiques on the beaches of Villers-sur-mer, Bénerville-sur-mer, Blonville-sur-mer, Tourgéville and Deauville .

For its 6th edition, the Normandique settles in Villers-sur-mer. On a 100% sandy course, everyone, beginners or experienced, can participate. The Normandique aims to transmit the values ​​of Nordic walking and to initiate the curious and beginners to the handling of sticks and good positioning of the feet. They will be able to try to appropriate this technique so singular in the morning during the walk "nature-health-leisure" of 7 km not timed, while the most confirmed will leave for the Nordic "sport" walk of 12 km timed and with ranking. In the afternoon, those who want to get even closer to nature can enjoy a barefoot walk in the water by the sea.

Arja Jalkanen-Meyer will warm up in the morning and walk by the sea. This Finnish woman, who has been living in France for many years, a sports educator, psychometrician and trainer, is one of the pioneers to have imported Nordic walking into France. . On the occasion of La Normandique, it will also offer a technical training course in Nordic walking on Saturday July 6 from 9h to 18h.

Between two steps, visitors can go to the Normandy Village, located at the Amphitheater Perdrisot, to take advantage of the wellness stands. On the program: massages, reflexology, sophrology, beauty workshops, yoga ...


* Nordic walking consists of walking at a faster pace than conventional walking or hiking thanks to the use of two specific poles that accentuate the natural movement of the arms and allow you to propel yourself forward, and therefore to walk faster, longer and with less fatigue.
