Forest of Saint-Gatien-des-Bois

Access only outside the hunting season!
It is the largest forest in Calvados with a perimeter of 28 km and an area of 3500 hectares, planted with trees of various species and cut by clearings and valleys. Most of the forest is privately owned and is used mainly for wood production or as a hunting ground.
Departure point : Church, Rue des Brioleurs 14130 Saint-Gatien-des-Bois
Step 1
At the beginning and back to the entrance of the church of Saint-Gatien-des-Bois, take on the right the Rue des Brioleurs until the crossing with the Route d'Englesqueville (D279).

Step 2
Turn left onto Rue d'Englesqueville (D279), extended into Route de Saint-Gatien, until the intersection with Chemin aux Picots (at the calvary).

Turn left on Chemin aux picots until the intersection with Chemin de la Coquetière (dirt road).

Turn left onto Chemin de la Coquetière, extended into Chemin des Fossés, until the intersection with Rue des Brioleurs.

Turn left on Rue des Brioleurs to reach the church of Saint-Gatien-des-Bois, the starting point.
