Lea Hennino


Born in 1991, Léa was admitted very young to the Paris regional conservatory. Unanimously received at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris at the age of sixteen, she worked with Sabine Toutain and Christophe Gaugué and brilliantly finished her studies in June 2013. During an Erasmus exchange, Léa also studied with Nobuko Imai in Geneva and regularly participates in masterclasses with Tabea Zimmermann, Antoine Tamestit, Kim Kashkashian, Veronika Hagen. Since September 2014 Léa is doing a master's soloist at the Zhdk in Zurich (Switzerland) in order to perfect her skills with the English violist Lawrence Power.

Enriched by these numerous meetings, Léa won the first prize and the SACEM prize in the European competition for young soloists in Luxembourg and became a laureate of the Meyer foundation and the Yamaha Music Foundation of Europe. She also won a 2nd prize in the national competition for young violists and a 3rd prize in the international Wolfgang Marschner competition in Germany.

Léa is invited to play in France and abroad, notably at the Easter festivals of Aix-en-Provence, chamber music of Besançon, Groba Festival, chamber music of Saint-Paul de Vence, Musical Moments de la Baule, in Cordes-sur-Ciel, Amsterdam Cello Biennale, Easter and August musical in Deauville, EMCY Stars of tomorow Tour, Landau Musiktage Festival, Fränkische Musiktage Alzenau, Norwegian Youth Chamber Music Festival. Recently she played the complete quintets for two violas by Mozart during a tour of Europe alongside Renaud Capucon, Alina Ibragimova, Gérard Caussé and Clemens Hagen. She has also collaborated with the Modigliani quartet, Francois Salque, Edgar Moreau, Boris Garlitsky, Nicholas Angelich, Gauthier Capuçon, Marco Rizzi, Pierre Fouchenneret, Torleif Thedéen.

Soon, Léa will play in particular within the ensemble Dissonances, du Balcon, at the Easter festival in Aix en Provence, at the Easter festival in Deauville, at the Rencontres Musicales d'Evian, at the Musique en Alvrey festival, by the Norvegian Youth Chamber Music Festival.

A CD devoted to Mendelssohn recorded in 2014 in Deauville has appeared for the label B Records.
