"Hard work always pays off"

Opened in April 2016 at 64, rue Gambetta in Deauville, the eponymous chef's restaurant Maximin Hellio has just been awarded a star in the 2017 Michelin Guide. The reward for "hard work" for this young 34-year-old chef. "My cuisine is sensitive, like me. When I go to the market in Deauville or Trouville, I listen and I exchange a lot. My cuisine is modern and creative well sure ; but above all it is respectful of the product ". This star in the Michelin Guide" makes us want to continue doing well. It's very positive, "concedes Maximin Hellio, accompanied to the kitchen by his sister and brother-in-law. And the chef to have a thought for the close collaborators who followed him and for those who trained him : his father Michel first, at La Voile d'Or in Brittany where Maximin had already won a star (and whose Blue Lobster he keeps reinventing), then Arnaud Lallement and Frédéric Anton (Le Pré Catelan) who " have instilled certain values. "

The establishment's card, "in motion", will evolve according to the seasons. "There will be no dramatic change, just a desire to showcase different products."

Sacred "Best Hope" and "Great of Tomorrow" in 2012 by Gault and Millau, Maximin Hellio seems to have already "digested" this star. Nourished by an ambition like his cuisine, healthy and simple, he just dreams "that there is happiness, that his teams continue to take pleasure in his side every day". A chef to follow ...
