Simon Guidicelli


Born in 1989, Simon Guidicelli started the double bass at the age of eight at the Aix-en-Provence normal music school. In 2008, he obtained his perfection diploma there unanimously with the congratulations of the jury in Francis Laforge's class. He was admitted the same year to the National Conservatory of Music in Paris in the class of Thierry Barbé. He performs regularly with the Capitole National Orchestra of Toulouse as well as with the National Orchestra of France, the Paris Opera Orchestra, the Montpellier Chamber Orchestra under the direction of conductors such as Tugan Sokhiev , Daniele Gatti, Philippe Jordan, Kristjan Järvi, Harmut Haenchen.

With Le Balcon, he participated in many projects, including La Symphonie Fantastique by Berlioz / Lavandier, Le Premier meutre by Arthur Lavandier, Le Balcon by Peter Eötvös, and the Lost Places by Pedro Garcia-Velasquez. He is also involved in the production of projects for Le Poème Harmonique and Le Balcon. In 2018-2019, he participated in the opera Donnerstag aus Licht at the Opéra comique de Paris.
