Ousmane Goïta, Malian photographer and director born in 1993, graduated from the Conservatory of Arts and Multimedia Professions Balla Fasséké Kouyaté. After his training, he worked on feature films and short films as a stage photographer, cameraman, director of photography and assistant director. Ousmane launched a fashion photography platform Single mode ; Member of the African Federation on Photographic Art (FAAP), he is currently working on Vortexgroups as a photographer and trainer.

In Deauville, he intends to question the cultural differences between Mali and France, in particular intergenerational relations: “In talking with French friends, I realized that we did not have the same relationships with our elders. With us, calling an elder Mâkôrô, which means old, is a mark of respect. In France, according to my friends, it is the opposite. The elderly would be ostracized. This difference appeals to me and I wish to work on this subject by producing a series of portraits entitled "Mâ kôrô" (Old person). In Mali, the elderly are considered wise men, guides, their experiences and testimonies guide us in life. So we keep them in the family and take advantage of their advice. Despite the globalization that is ravaging Africa, this tradition continues and still resists change. ”
