Aurélie GERLACH
Invited to the 2016 Books & Music Festival
Born in Paris in 1984, Aurélie Gerlach graduated from Sciences Po Paris. Passionate about Japan since her teenage years, she studied for a year at Waseda University in Tokyo, and since then, she regularly returns to the Land of the Rising Sun because she is addicted to their cold coffee in cans. Shameful detail: her mastery of Japanese still leaves much to be desired... As a journalist in the Paris region, she has a recurrent column in the magazine "Japan Lifestyle" where she tells the adventures of a blonde in Japan. The rest of her time, Aurélie devotes to her rock band, Babooszchka, and to painting fluorescent abstract canvases.
Aurélie Gerlach is part of the 2016 Teen Prize selection for her novel The Legend of Lee-Roy Gordon.
