Max Genève

Guest of the 2018 Books & Music Festival

Born in Mulhouse in 1945, Max Genève holds a PhD in sociology (1972). He entered the world of literature in 1980 (La Prise de Genève, Zulma). He is a novelist and a scriptwriter. About 6 of his 26 novels deal with music, namely Le Compositeur (Flammarion), Le Château de Béla Bartok and Le Violoniste, Books & Music Prize in Deauville in 2005, published by Zulma. He has recently published with Éditions Safran Le voyage de M. de Balzac à Turin in 2015 and Le Transformiste in 2017.
