In August, you can go to Deauville to see the best dancers in the world, hear the humpback whales sing, and discover in illustrations, on the boards, the characters who have marked Deauville. Between events, the Franciscan team is also there to advise you on the best readings and to welcome you to Micro-Folie. Then there will be the American Film Festival, with the best of the best from across the Atlantic.

Enjoy your summer in Deauville.
Artem Ovcharenko, first Bolshoi dancer in Deauville
He is the star of the next Russian Festival which will take place in Deauville from August 22 to 24. Star of the Bolshoi Ballet, Artem Ovcharenko will perform with Anna Tikhomirova, first soloist of the Bolshoi with whom he forms a glamorous and media-friendly couple. They will be accompanied by twelve other dancers - among the best in the world. The story is beautiful. All of them perform voluntarily as a tribute to Diaghilev's Russian seasons, which were successfully programmed in Deauville from 1912. The Russian theaters graciously lent the costumes to help them - also - to realize this crazy dream. The program mixed classical ballets and contemporary creations for two different performances. For Deauville, it is - more than 100 years later - an unexpected program.

We want to show and say that today the art of ballet
of ballet is alive. It lives and breathes deeply
and continues to move, to develop.

Sergei Filin, artistic director of the Festival
