Pierre Fouchenneret

Musician

Pierre Fouchenneret, one of the associated artists of the Singer Polignac Foundation, was able to enjoy very strong recognition from a very young age. So at the age of twelve he obtained the first prize for violin at the CNR in Nice, at sixteen the first prize for violin and chamber music at the CNSM in Paris and he was awarded the Natixis and Grand Prix of the International Music Competition of Chamber of Bordeaux.

With exceptional lessons from which he benefited from Alain Babouchian in Nice, Olivier Charlier at the CNSM in Paris and Devy Erlih, Pierre Fouchenneret in turn became a professor at the Pôle supérieure de Bordeaux. This recognition also gives him the pleasure of collaborating with the most gifted musicians of his generation and of performing on the biggest national and international stages. This is how he founded the Strada quartet in 2013, with François Salque, Sarah Nemtanu, and Lise Berthaud.

In addition to his career as a soloist and chamber musician, his first disc devoted to Mendelssohn's trios appeared in 2007. It was followed by a series of critically acclaimed discs. Thus he obtains the Choc Classica for a disc dedicated to Georges Onslow. Next will appear solo and chamber music albums devoted to Mendelssohn, Bach, Kodaly, Bartók then the complete Beethoven sonatas with Romain Descharmes and finally with his quartet Strada the last two opuses of Beethoven. The third volume of Brahms' complete chamber music will be released in April this year from B Records.
