The paleontological site of the Falaises des Vaches Noires bears witness to an era in the history of the Earth: the Jurassic. Formed by the accumulation of sediments deposited by the tropical sea that covered Normandy at the time, the cliffs today contain fossils of ammonites, sea urchins and nautiluses, as well as plesiosaurs, ichthyosaurs...
A family walk (2-3km / 1h30h) with an introduction to fossil collecting, offered by the Villers-sur-Mer Paleospace Museum.
