Chemin des Enclos - BENERVILLE-SUR-MER

Open Day at the Calouste Gulbenkian Park

The Calouste Gulbenkian Park was acquired in 1937 by Calouste Gulbenkian (1869-1955), business man and aesthete at the same time, one of the greatest art collectors of the 20th century. He wanted to create here the garden he was dreaming about and entrusted his project to Achille Duchêne.

Seventy years after its creation, Le parc des Enclos - bequeathed to the City of Deauville in 1973 - remains a magic place, an unknown cheerful aspect of a secret Deauville. Above all, the park has preserved the charm and beauty that his creator had given to it in ancient times, with a rare sensitivity.

From Deauville, take the Avenue de la République / direction de Blonville / Villers-sur-mer, passing by Tourgéville (D513). On the heights of Bénerville, turn left / direction Mont-Canisy. At the roundabout after the church, follow the « Chemin des Enclos ». About 500 m to the left, you’ll see the entrance of the park. Situated 4,5 km from the railway station of Deauville-Trouville.
