Horse Auction : Fall Sale

English thoroughbred auctions are an integral part of Deauville's identity. They have been held there regularly since 1887. Today, a dozen sales, organized by Arqana, are scheduled each year, including the prestigious August yearling sale which attracts professionals from all over the world.

The Autumn Sale, a big week dedicated to jumping, brings together horses in training (flat and jumping), 2-year-old blinds and a selection of yearlings. The last day is reserved for the jumping breeding part which is composed of mares, fillies and foals for jumping.

NB: the horse sales are public, but access is reserved in priority to buyers. It is recommended not to approach the horses, to avoid making noise and to applaud in the sales area.
