The sale of photographs will particularly mark this new session of Liberté Enchères in correspondence with the Planches Contact photography festival which invites a number of photographers each year to tell about Deauville and Normandy. Amateurs and collectors will be able to acquire photographs of the great masters with Charlotte Barthélemy, expert in photography.
Collected for more than thirty years by an informed collector, these photographs were selected for their often singular side and are a modern aesthetic proposal which evokes a certain glance on the whole of the XNUMXth century.

This auction will therefore be a place of discovery and the opportunity to acquire at a good price works by major artists or curiosities.

The famous image of the American West produced in 1937 by Ansel Adams (1902-1984), "Half Dome and Moon, Yosemite National Park, California", alone symbolizes the thought of this master of pure photography, founder of the group f / 64: "We don't take a photograph, we do it". Adams wanted to express the sensations that nature gave him while mastering the technique to perfection.

Brett Weston (1911-1993), another major figure in American photography and also a member of the f / 64 group, will be present with a boldly composed image of San Francisco's Golden Gate made in 1938 and transforming this structure into a form pure and imposing.

In contrast to this work, the lightness of botany captured by Denis Brihat (1928-) will be most touching. It will reflect all the approach of this photographer of sensitivity with constant rigor and mastery, inspired by William Blake "See the world in a grain of sand and paradise in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour. "

The photograph of Jacques-Henri Lartigue (1894-1986) will take collectors in 1927 on the road to Houlgate aboard the famous Hispano Suiza automobile. The feeling of modernity of the gaze of this photographer passionate about speed shines through in this panoramic image where framing is experienced to the extreme.

Willy Ronis, Robert Doisneau, René-Jacques, Marcel Bovis and Jean-François Jonvelle will also be present in this sale where the photographs will all be offered to amateurs without reserve price, a unique opportunity to start or complete a collection of photographs, at not to be missed under any circumstances ...
