Music Festival

Villers-sur-Mer celebrates music!

At 6 pm - Place Jean Mermoz: Marauders
A pop-folk-blues guitar-voice duo.

Two concerts are organized from 9 pm at the Amphithéâtre Perdrisot, in collaboration with the Aérolive tour, a Norman tour of concerts that promotes contemporary regional groups.

At 9 pm: Bye Bye Leone - Pop Rock
Bye Bye Leone is one of the major groups of the Saint Lô. The quartet performs a hopping and lively pop-rock music with catchy rhythms. At the end of his Born In Alaska period, Alex Grould, leader of the group, felt the need to play a more joyful music. Often listening to Hot Chip or Future Island, he decided to create a mix of Radiohead / Bon Iver styles. Then, every member of the group brought his personal touch.

At 10:30 pm: Dogo Foly - Afro World Musik
Dogo Foly is a group of Manding world music whose composer and singer is Drissa Dembélé, coming from Burkina Faso. Born in a family of griot musicians, he was initiated in his early years to balafon, ngoni and singing. Surrounded by western musicians with several influences (jazz, reggae, rock...), he has combined Manding music with Jula and French singing. The group condense different inspirations, mixing rock, reggae and jazz.
