Exhibition: "Esprit couture" & "Textiles by Juliette Laville
Recognized as an art form in its own right, fashion is a living, evolving art that renews itself with each new collection.
The "Esprit Couture" exhibition illustrates the full scope of the skills and know-how of the world's textile craftsmen, with an emphasis on unusual combinations. Clothing, creative jewelry and accessories enter into dialogue with ceramics, glass, paper...
Textile creations - jewelry - decorative and utilitarian objects - jewelry - collages.
To coincide with the "Esprit couture" exhibition, the Galerie des Créateurs is also presenting an exhibition by Juliette Laville in the Petit Salon on the second floor until November 3. A textile goldsmith, Juliette Laville works the material, transforming and shaping it to bring her inspirations to life, giving body to the fabric of her dreams. Using traditional skills, she redraws the fabric's contours, gives it volume, dresses it in color, and adorns it with gold and silver. Embroidery, pleating and featherwork are all techniques she experiments with joyfully and without complexes, like a playground for expressing her desires. Her creations are objets d'art, vectors of dreams. The artist tells a story, that of gems that bloom on walls, world flowers that light up or furniture that dresses in haute couture.
