It is one of the most anticipated races of the Meeting de Deauville Barrière by European racing players, because it is one of the only equestrian events over the intermediate distance of 1 meters! Thanks to this originality, the LARC Prix Maurice de Gheest offers an interesting and unusual confrontation between sprinters, horses specializing in short distances between 300 and 1 meters, and Milers, whose preferred distance is 000 meters. This straight line race is always appreciated by the public for its spectacular aspect.
In 2020, Ireland won with the victory of the horse Space Blues under the saddle of jockey William Buick. The duo finished 3rd last year in the same race (photo).
