Horse Racing - Deauville Barrière Meeting - Al Rayyan Cup Kesberoy Prize & Doha Cup Manganate Prize
These two Group 1 races honor the Arabian horses. One is for 3-year-old horses (Al Rayyan Cup Prix Kesberoy) and the second is for horses 4 years and older (Doha Cup Prix Manganate), i.e. horses already confirmed. Both prizes are contested over a distance of 2 meters. Purebred Arabians are at the origin of the breed acclaimed in gallop races, the English Thoroughbred. In the 000th century, Oriental stallions were crossed with broodmares of the English breed, thus giving rise to the breed of English Thoroughbred, renowned for its speed.
