106 years after having participated in the inaugural season of the Casino Barrière Deauville theater, the Ballets Russes are back.

Under the artistic direction of Serguei Filine, fifteen star dancers and first Russian soloists will reconstruct, on the scale of the Casino Barrière theater, the choreographies of Fokine and Nijinski created by the Ballets Russes by Serge Diaghilev and performed during the inauguration of it.

For the first time in more than a century, the greatest artists of the Bolshoi Ballet, the Mariinsky Theater and the Musical Theater Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko will dance on the stage of the Casino Barrière theater in Deauville on August 18 and 19. The gala-concert inspired by the famous "Russian Seasons" will be dedicated to the memory of the great impresario, Sergey Diaghilev, who founded the Ballets Russes at the beginning of the XXth century.
The program presented in Deauville highlights real choreographic masterpieces, which have made the Russian Ballet famous throughout the world. The artistic director of this gala, Sergei Filine, directed the Bolshoi Theater for many years after having been first dancer there, then principal dancer (equivalent of a star at the Paris Opera).

At the end of the first performance, a "Russian Dinner" will take place in the Ambassadors' lounge of the Casino Barrière in Deauville, the opportunity to discover new Russian cuisine presented by one of the top 10 starred chefs in the world: Vladimir Moukhine .
