Isabelle Pellouin's armchairs

"Water is a vast world, I looked for inspiration in my daily life, the beaches of Deauville/Trouville and the trawlers that I see entering and leaving the Touques. On one side, the bathers, on the other, the fish in the trawlers. So to the tune of "La maman des poissons" by Boby Lapointe, I thought of a can of sardines. Thus, I created a school of fish, the wooden slats of the armchairs being particularly suitable."

As far back as I can remember I have always drawn, painted, tinkered... whether with paper, wood or fabric. I built my bubble with all of that. During my artistic studies at the Regional School of Caen, I explored various techniques of creation and printing. When I left, I created my own publishing house: "Les Petites Manies", which allows me to produce literary objects in series, even though it usually does not exceed 50 copies. Literature and poetry inspire me a lot in my creative process. Screen printing, which allows me to produce my editions, also gives me the possibility to conceive and print prints, which I regularly exhibit with the collective of "L'Encrage" (association of screen printers at the espace Yvonne Guégan) in Caen and elsewhere. I produce very few unique objects. I like the series, it is less frustrating and one can share much more. Besides, I keep in mind the idea of building bleachers near the pier of Deauville...
