Armchairs by Sébastien Lucas
These four mermaids represent four stars who have marked the life of Deauville and could often be met on the boards: Gabrielle Chanel for her hats, sailors and bathing suits that revolutionized fashion; Suzy Solidor, singer, after having set the nights of the casino and Brummel's on fire, loved to relax on the beach; Josephine Baker, her long walks on the Planks with Chiquita, her panther; Anouk Aimée, great star for having been the main actress in Claude Lelouch's film "Un homme et une femme", an international triumph that won an Oscar.
Sebastien Lucas is a musical composer, painter and sculptor. He was oriented very early in different artistic activities and studied at the Regional Conservatory of Caen. Pianist and organist, he obtained a first regional prize of musical composition by the Ministry of Culture and the Regional Direction of Cultural Affairs at the age of 16.
He has composed and self-produced several albums including "Abyss of the Whales" for "IFAW" - whale protection and notably "Voices of light" with Lama Gyurmé and Prince Michel of Greece.
Sebastien Lucas defines his painting as "Pop Art", linked to modern techniques. He works on acrylic canvas, then digitizes, reworks with the computer tool to obtain more powerful colors. To finalize his works, he then proceeds to fix the pigments on an unalterable support.
