Armchairs by André Hudin - "The Rain
"Since the surface to be painted presents two perpendicular planes, "the rain" seemed obvious to me. The vertical visual perception manifests itself in the form of more or less inclined vertical lines and its horizontal manifestation in the form of interfering concentric circles on a flooded surface. Following an abstract work, started previously on the rhythms, the contrasts of colors, values and forms, the final realization imposed itself rather quickly."
Amateur painter, since my childhood, I paint and I draw for my pleasure and that of my close relations who share my tastes. My productions are essentially figurative, in a more personal color palette. I try to paint an atmosphere around my characters or my architectures, rather than reality. I use oil paint or pastel, and more recently acrylic. I have exhibited in several shows (Brécey, Avranches, Le Mans, Fougères) with a certain success at the end of the 70's, beginning of the 80's. My professional (teacher) and family activities kept me away from this hobby for a while. Retirement has allowed me to renew my interest in this hobby and I exhibit at the "Rivière Saint-Sauveur", my home town. I participate in the courses or workshops of Françoise Plékan in Saint-Arnoult and Yves Riguidel at the MJC of Trouville-sur-Mer. Recently, under the guidance of Yves Riguidel, I have been approaching abstract art with great curiosity and enthusiasm.
