André Hudin armchairs - "The rain"

Yves Saint-Laurent Promenade

14910 BENERVILLE-SUR-MER

"The surface to be painted having two perpendicular planes," the rain "seemed obvious to me. The vertical visual perception manifests itself in the form of more or less inclined vertical lines and its horizontal manifestation in the form of concentric circles interfering with each other on a flooded surface. Following an abstract work, started previously on the rhythms, the contrasts of colors, values and forms, the final realization was quickly imposed. "

Amateur painter, since my childhood, I paint and I draw for my pleasure and that of my relatives who share my tastes. My productions are essentially figurative, in a palette of more personal colors. I try to paint an atmosphere around my characters or my architecture, rather than reality. I use oil paint or pastel, and more recently acrylic. I exhibited in several salons (Brécey, Avranches, Le Mans, Fougères) with some success at the end of the 70s, the beginning of the 80s. My professional (teacher) and family activities kept me a little away from this hobby. Retirement allowed me to reconnect with it and I exhibit at the “Rivière Saint-Sauveur” show, my town of residence. I participate in the courses or workshops of Françoise Plékan in Saint-Arnoult and Yves Riguidel at the MJC of Trouville-sur-Mer. Recently, on the wise advice of Yves Riguidel, I approach the abstract with a lot of curiosity and enthusiasm.
