An airport adapted for horse cargo

The Deauville-Normandy Airport receives about a hundred horses each year:

- horses from Ireland and England for summer races at Deauville racecourses,
- broodmares and their foals transiting through this platform to return to local stud farms after foaling in Anglo-Saxon countries or on the American continent.

Deauville Airport has been approved as a Border Inspection Post for the equine industry for the reception of horses from non-Schengen countries by the Direction Départementale de la Protection des Populations (ex. veterinary services) since the beginning of July 2013.

Deauville airport is equipped with :
- a screening station and a temporary equine transit area with 10 boxes,
- a horse ramp for Boeing 737 and Airbus A 310 aircraft.

The Deauville Flying Club

The Aeroclub de Deauville or "ACDEAUVILLE" offers a wide range of aeronautical services, including pilot training on a variety of aircraft (Sonaca 200 NG, Robin DR-400) and first flights over the region: for 30 minutes, you'll discover Normandy from the air in the company of a club pilot, by trade or by passion, who practices these flights all year round.
