Mathieu EL FASSI
Invited to the 2016 Books & Music Festival
A concert pianist with classical training, he devotes himself to improvisation and has given more than 350 performances in this field (solo and accompanying dancers, storytellers and comedians).
At the same time he practices opera singing and is passionate about accompanying singers.
He participated in the elaboration, direction, composition and interpretation of several live shows.
In 2003, he teaches at the CNR of Paris within the "young choir of Paris" under the direction of Laurence Equilbey.
In 2005, he joined Olivier Py's company in "Les illusions comiques" (2005), "Les enfants de saturne" (2009), "Opus Magnum" (2010), "Roméo et Juliette" (2011), "Die sonne" (2011)
In 2011, he participates with the Piccola compagnie in the creation of " La petite fée aux allumettes ", a story opera for two voices.
He accompanies Michel Fau in " Récital Emphatique " at the Bouffes du Nord.
He participated in the Avignon and Edinburgh Festivals with the show Angloklaxons with the actress and singer Phyllis Roome.

Pier Paolo Pasolini is without question one of the major writers of 20th century Italy. Novelist, poet, filmmaker, playwright, he has built a dense and complex work. A tumultuous life which is reflected in his correspondence, which also reveals another facet of the character: the Pasolini songwriter.
