Saint Martin's Church
The church of Saint-Martin is a remarkable example of the neo-Gothic style that flourished in Normandy at the end of the 19th century. It was built in 1872 by the Caen architect Lavallée-Dupeyroux. Thanks to donations, it replaced the old church in 1874, which had become too small.
Sculptures by the Jacquier brothers and stained glass windows by the Duhamel Marette workshop have been classified as historical monuments since 2006. The workshop, located in Evreux, delivered to Villers-sur-Mer for this church an exceptional set of 51 colored stained glass windows, considered as one of the masterpieces of the art of the Lower Normandy region at the end of the 19th century.
A painting by Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant representing "Saint Joseph father of Christ" is also classified.
