Eglise Saint-Pierre - Copie - Copie

Rue des Brioleurs

The Saint-Gatien-des-Bois Church is built on a square and has the perimeter of a Latin cross. It was built in the 15th and 16th centuries, while the choir was partially rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century.

Indoor, the façade is supported by six prominent buttresses and the main door, with a arched top, is surrounded by prismatic mouldings. Large curved windows with a brick frame enlighten the nave.
Indoor, a wooden armature, decorated with very simple pendants, maintains a slightly curved panelled vault dating back to the 16th century. The stained-glass windows of the choir date back to the end of the 19th century; those of the nave date back to the 1950s.
The stone statue of the Madonna with Child dates back to the 16th century; the other statues date back to the 18th and the 19th centuries: Saint Gilles, Saint Sébastien, a bishop and a Christ statue in wood.
There are three bells weighing respectively 1100 kg, 770 kg and 550 kg. The clock has been added to the bell tower in 1978.
