ESCAPE TO THE SEA

Alongside one of the DYC instructors, embark on a marine escapade in the calm movement of a sailboat to admire the sea birds and the Seine estuary for two hours of unforgettable stroll. Accessible from 3 years old, the DYC sea trips adapt to the public to give a new look to the coast and make you want to deepen your knowledge of sailing before taking sailing lessons.

THE SAILING SCHOOL

The Deauville Yacht Club sailing school, labeled French Sailing School and Competition Club, is open all year round and adapts to all levels: sport sailing, recreational sailing or leisure sailing. Whether you are training for a regatta or want to familiarize yourself with the boat, sailing can be learned on board, aboard a J80 or a Grand Surprise.

REGATATE!

The Deauville Yacht Club organizes each year fifteen regattas from February to October which contribute to making the city a sports and nautical destination

Among the biggest events:
- Take off from the estuary in early April, which opens the racing season! It is the opening regatta of the Seine Bay Championship with the boats from Honfleur, Le Havre, Ouistreham and Deauville which compete on "banana" courses along the coast;
- The Linkers Open International de France des Dragons, mid-June, a major European event with a fleet of more than 35 Dragons (canoe-type sports boat) from Great Britain, Belgium, Holland and France to compete on traces of former regatta sailors;
- The legendary Cowes-Deauville, at the end of May, a fiftieth race in the footsteps of sailors between Cowes (England) and Deauville with the participation of numerous Yacht Clubs in Great Britain;
- The Solo de Deauville, mid-April, this is the opening regatta for the Voiles Océanes Trophy which takes place each year and which is used for the preparation of the Solo Normandie which takes place in June.
