D'ville
Filip Dujardin creates architectural fictions. After studying architecture, he chose to claim his Belgian cultural heritage, that of surrealists like Paul Delvaux or Raoul Serveais... He assembles his shots of buildings in ingenious photomontages. The result seems straight out of science fiction movies, with an improbable and offbeat side. From neutral, visually unattractive buildings, his strange and fascinating mikados are sometimes strangely disturbing.
In 2012, Deauville's architectural identity opened a new chapter in its imaginary architectures. His building puzzles seem like an urban "re-construction", a new architecture that is neither completely new nor really seen before. A tour de force for a new vision of Deauville, with a guaranteed surprise effect!
