Awards: Deauville twice acclaimed
On the strength of the many tourist assets of its territory, Deauville climbed to the first step of two podiums this month. The seaside resort has conquered Internet users looking for a spring stay and yachtsmen stopping over in the port.
Best rated marina in the Channel area
In its May 2022 issue, currently on newsstands, the magazine Moteur Boat delivers the list of the 100 best French ports according to the users of Navily, a free application guiding boaters in the choice of their stops. The Deauville marina takes first place in the ranking in the Channel navigation area and sixth place nationally. Saint-Cast and Tréguier, two ports of the Côtes d'Armor, complete the podium of this part of the French coast.
Deauville thus obtained an average score of 4,76 out of 5, broken down as follows: 4,8 for shops, 5 for tourism, 4,6 for services, 4,4 for hospitality and 5 for cleanliness.
The advantages that appeal to boaters, which are constantly increasing (+30% compared to 2019) and half of them come from the Netherlands and Belgium: the many shops and restaurants nearby, the many possibilities for discovery, easy access to the port by a channel bordered by beautiful wooden piers, the beach a few steps away, pleasant and quality port services.
The most searched "Small French town" on the internet
On the occasion of the spring holidays, the online holiday rental comparator Likibu.com has ranked the 50 most searched French small towns on the internet by the French. Deauville occupies first place in the ranking, followed by Hossegor and its neighbor Honfleur.
This study was carried out between April 11 and 18, 2022 on all French cities with a population of between 2.000 and 10.000 inhabitants, i.e. more than 4 municipalities. The data corresponds to the number of average monthly searches on Google made by holidaymakers over the last twelve months for the queries "What to do", "What to see", "What to visit", associated with the name of the city.
