THOUSANDS OF DOCUMENTS
FIGURATIVE WORKS OF THE 19TH AND 20TH CENTURIES
In addition to the donation of André Hambourg's works, which will be the subject of a dedicated space within the Franciscaines, the City of Deauville already owned some thirty works of art that this new site will allow to be exhibited. This collection essentially covers the end of the 19th and 20th centuries, in the field of figurative painting.

A CONTEMPORARY PHOTOGRAPHY COLLECTION
The third component of Les Franciscaines collections is contemporary photography. With a rich history of working with the greatest photographers throughout the century, in 2010 Deauville created the Planche(S) Contact Festival of photographic creation, the only festival in France to be based on public commissions and therefore an artistic production specific to Deauville. This creative space allows the city to have a vast contemporary collection of images by Massimo Vitali, Paolo Roversi, David Armstrong and Kishin Shinoyama, among others. It also continues to acquire prints of photographs taken in Deauville by the most important photographers of the century.
THE RESOURCES OF A MEDIA LIBRARY
The fourth component, the Deauville media library - currently online - already includes a collection of 70,000 documents, including 40,000 catalogued books, approximately 7,000 CDs and 2,000 DVDs, and a games library.
SPECIALIZED FUNDS
In addition to these collections, there are two specialized collections: a specialized collection on the memory of Deauville, thanks to numerous digitized donations, and a specialized collection on horses, thanks to donations and acquisitions made at auctions. The ultimate goal is to create a reference collection in a town where this industry is a major sector of the economy.
