Departure of the circuit "The dead river of Saint-Arnoult and the vestiges of the castle of Lassay

1. Start in front of the Saint-Arnoult town hall. Take the direction of Deauville by passing in front of the enclos aux biches and turn left to take the pedestrian walk along the dead river. The dead river is in reality an old bed of the Touques river, it extends over 1,5 km.

2. At the level of the playground, go along the road near the retirement home and the hotel complex, then turn right and cross the protected passage.

3. Take the Chemin des Londes to the left and pass by the Château Bel Abri before going down the Rue du Coteau and crossing the porch of the Hôtel du Golf.

4. Continue along the Avenue du Bois de Lassay, the remains of the Château de Lassay are on the right. This castle, nicknamed "the white castle" dates from the end of the 17th century and was built on the initiative of Armand de Madaillan, lord, for his beloved Marianne. It fell into disrepair during the French Revolution, when the family had to leave its lands.

5. Take the small path on the left that goes down to the level of the chapel. Turn left into Rue du Bois de Lassay and continue along Rue des Pommiers until you reach Rue de la République.

6. Turn right on Rue de la Verdure and take the Allée des Champs on your right.

7. Join the Rivière Morte and then the Town Hall.
