Deauville joins the Normandy Summer Tour, an international attraction circuit

The idea behind the Normandy Summer Tour, presented in Deauville on June 25, was to create a circuit of equestrian competitions at a level likely to attract riders from the American continent.
This circuit of five International Jumping Competitions (CSI), held in four different locations - Saint Lô, Cabourg, Deauville, Chantilly - was presented this winter to the best riders from Canada, the USA, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Chile and Ecuador. In addition to the highly competitive events they will be discovering this summer, Christian Paillot has led this operation of seduction by offering them services to organize their arrival and by promoting the equestrian sports facilities where they will settle for the summer season. The Pôle International du Cheval is one of the pivots of this organization, along with the Haras de Saint Lô and Chantilly, but by keeping riders in our region for three months, the idea is also to help them discover essential infrastructures such as CIRALE and the environmental assets of a tourist region.

This attraction operation highlights twenty exceptional days in Normandy and Chantilly, during which the level of competition is at its highest.
As of this year, the quality of the equestrian facilities and events in the wider Chantilly region will be showcased to 180 riders from the American continent. A success shared by Philippe Augier, Mayor of Deauville, Hervé Morin, President of the Normandy Region and Christian Paillot, the man behind the Normandy Summer Tour. This equestrian sports enthusiast, a former member of the Fédération Française d'Equitation and the Fédération Equestre Internationale, has been working for many years towards a structured strategy for the development of top-level equestrian sports in France. They were accompanied by Olivier Jouanneteau, who created a sculpture and a painting for the event.
