Deauville wins a Golden Hashtag for its X account (Twitter)
The Observatoire de la #compublique numérique, which each year rewards the most influential local authorities on social networks, has awarded the town of Deauville first place in the "Small towns" category (2,000 to 20,000 inhabitants) for the management of its X (Twitter) account "DeauvilleFR".

The Observatory of the #digitalpublic
Bringing together a team of 150 public sector experts, this network was created in 2016 to advance local authorities' uses of social media: think tanks, exchanges, sharing of good (or bad) practices, methodologies and analysis tools. Their activity has developed around the myobservatoire.com platform, designed to help local authorities with their digital communication actions, take stock of their social media presence and enable them to compare relevant performance indicators between institutions of the same size or geographical area. Year after year, the Observatory's mission has broadened to keep pace with the evolution of the profession, including the census of websites, the measurement of their level of eco-responsibility, the sharing of expertise, methodology, experiences on the blog...
In 2018, the Observatoire launched the Hashtags ceremony. Each year, these awards recognize an aspect of local authorities' strategies on the web and social networks: local authority agility on the various social networks in 2018, performance on Instagram in 2019, adaptability during the health crisis in 2020, actions on all social media in 2021, digital eco-responsibility in 2022, and performance on Twitter in 2023.
Deauville, Hastag d'Or 2023
An account that focuses on the aesthetics of its territory, with a real effort to engage in dialogue with local residents.

To establish the list of winners, the X (Twitter) accounts of local authority sites were first screened by a digital monitoring tool (Swello), whose performance algorithm analyzes engagement rates, reach, number of publications and number of subscribers. This initial screening identified ten finalist accounts, which were then analyzed by a jury of communications and media professionals. The jurors studied the quality of the editorial line, the meaning and objectives of the public communication, the quality of the animation and the mastery of the codes of the social network.
The awards were unveiled last Friday at the Rencontres Nationales de la Communication Numérique, held at the Microsoft conference center in Issy-les-Moulineaux, which brought together over 150 public communication professionals to discuss and discover the latest web and social networking innovations. Organized by Cap'Com, this annual event brings together digital communication professionals, mainly from local authorities, to learn, discover and exchange ideas on the role of digital in public communication.
The award was presented to Pascal Leblanc, deputy mayor representing the town of Deauville, and Pierre Brangbour, webmaster and community manager in the communications department.
