In situ tests

In 2010, Charles de Senarclens enrolled in Photography in order to obtain the Federal Certificate of Ability (CFC), at the CEPV de Vevey. It was there that he discovered, from the first weeks, the simplicity of the design and manufacture of the pinhole camera and this is what led him to build large digital format rooms. In 2013, wishing to deepen his studies, he continued in the Higher Education of Photography, also at the CEPV until 2015. He used digital devices that he built himself. These are large rooms, mainly made of wood, in which he places scanners of documents modified to capture the image. By mixing this modern technology with an old technique, he seeks both to reproduce a photographic gesture of the past and to produce images that offer a new look at my subjects.

The project carried out for the Festival Planche (s) Contact is a selection of results from the various experiments carried out along Deauville beach, between its famous boards and the sea.
