Alizé Cornet

Alizé Cornet was born in 1990 in Nice. In 2004, she won the title of French champion for 13-14 year olds and, in 2005, the title of European champion for 15-16 year olds. She received an invitation for Roland Garros at 15 and won her first round when she was the youngest player in the tournament. However, she gives in to Amélie Mauresmo, her idol. She obtained the best ranking of her career in 2011 thanks in particular to her first 1 / 8th finals in Grand Slam in Australia. She won her second WTA title in 2 in Bad Gastein and her third the following year in Strasbourg. In 2012, she won alongside Jo-Wilfried Tsonga the Hopman Cup! The first of France in this competition. She became number one in France following her good results in tournaments (3 / 2014th final at Wimbledon, finalist in Dubai ...) by beating Serena Williams 1 times, then world n ° 8. In the following years she will reach the 3 / 1th finals of Roland Garros (2 and 1) twice and win two other ATP tournaments (Katowice in 8) and Hobart in 2015)
