Sarah CHENAF

Sarah Chenaf began studying the viola at the Bordeaux Conservatory and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris where she obtained her master's degree. She then continued her training in Vienna and Hanover with Johannes Meissl (Artis Quartet) and Hatto Beyerle (Alban Berg Quartet).
In 2009 she co-founded the Zaïde Quartet composed of Charlotte Juillard, Leslie Boulin-Raulet and Juliette Salmona. The Zaïde Quartet has won numerous competitions (Bordeaux, Beijing, Banff, Heerlen), and has performed in major venues such as the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, the Wigmore Hall in London, the Musikverein in Vienna, the Cité de la musique, and with musicians such as Jérôme Pernoo, Alexandre Tharaud, Bertrand Chamayou, Edgar Moreau, Jonas Vitaud.
In 2015/2016, the Zaïde Quartet will return to all the major European venues for a "Rinsing star" tour and will release a second double CD devoted to Joseph Haydn's Opus 50 quartets.
The Zaïde Quartet is in residence at the Fondation Singer-Polignac.
