The castle of Saint Germain de Livet, classified as a Historic Monument, is remarkable for its architecture. Surrounded by a moat, it combines a half-timbered manor from the end of the 15th and a glazed stone and brick construction from the Pré d'Auge at the end of the 16th.
The offices room is an essential step in the discovery of the castle because it preserves superb frescoes from the end of the 16th century. The visit continues with a visit to the flowered and wooded park.

The Château-Musée presents the furniture and collections of the Riesener-Pillant family. Combining furniture and works of art, the interior testifies to the refinement and lifestyle of the 19th century. He suggests discovering the artistic and personal journey of the painter Léon Riesener (1808-1878), grandson of cabinetmaker Jean-Henri Riesener and cousin of Eugène Delacroix.
