Natalie Carter was born in 1955 in New York. After studying art, she became a screenwriter for television and then for film. She has worked with Claude Miller, Alain Corneau, Nicole Garcia, Jean-Paul Salomé, Brian de Palma, Paul Verhoeven, Barbet Schroeder, Philippe Lioret... In 2006, she published a novel, Valdingue, with Robert Laffont.
