SAINT-ARNOULT Longines Deauville International Equestrian Complex > March 7th and 8th

The only carriage driving contest held in Deauville will take place at the Longines Deauville International Equestrian Complex, temple of the equestrian sports.

Driving riders from Normandy, the English Channel, Brittany, Pays de la Loire, Ile de France and many more places are back to the Longines-Deauville International Equestrian Complex. Organized by the Chantemerle (76) stables and the team of Christian Derray, the 10th edition of this indoor driving contests gathers about sixty participants divided into 3 categories: Young horses, Amateurs and Clubs.

The event consists of two competitions:

- a dressage competition, during which the horses’ performances (figures and obedience) are marked by official judges
- a manageability competition associated to a two-obstacle jumping competition (the objective is running as fast as possible without knocking over balls or obstacles).
- a long-reining competition

After these two competitions, a classification by category is done. The type of carriage driving is also considered. It’s a nice show focused on the ability of French drivers and the good shape of horses!
