Alice Brière-Haquet
Invited to the 2018 Books & Music Festival
Alice Brière-Haquet was a cherry picker and a high school teacher before she began writing books. The cherries have grown, the students have grown, and more than seventy titles are now in the houses. Some are for toddlers, such as Zébulon published by MeMo, and others are for older children, such as Nina published by Gallimard. Her books also visit the world thanks to numerous translations, and one of them received in 2015 a New York Times Award. She herself took a little walk with her cello and her family before returning to her native Normandy.
