Ambroisine Bré

Ambroisine Bré, mezzo-soprano, discovered a passion for singing very early on. Between the Callas records and the vocalizations of a grandmother passionate about opera, she learned the art of beautiful singing from a very young age. After having spent all her schooling in a Maîtrisienne structure, she joined the Superior Department for Young Professional Singers of CRR de Paris and discovered the pleasure of the stage there. In 2013, she joined the CNSM in the class of Yves Sotin and improved with great masters such as Michel and Emmanuel Plasson, Sophie Koch, José Van Dam, Teresa Berganza, Christophe Rousset, Anne le Bozec, Jeff Cohen, Dietrich Henschel , Fritz Schwinghammer, Susan Manoff, Christoph Pregardien during Master-Classes. In 2015, she was Cherub in Le Nozze di Figaro by Mozart directed by Alexis Kossenko. Then, she sang in the solo quartet of Donizetti's Requiem under the direction of Leonardo Garcia Alarcón at the Saint-Denis festival. In 2016, she sang alongside Sabine Devieilhe and Alain Buet in a program around Brahms as part of the Musicales de l'Orne.

In 2014, she distinguished herself at the International Marmande Competition by obtaining the Young Hope Prize, the 2nd Melody Prize and the 2nd Opera Prize. Then, she obtains the Prize of Excellence of the 2016 UPMCF competition. She is also laureate of the Royaumont foundation. Recently, she won four prizes in the Paris Opéra Compétition 2017 competition during the "Les Mozart de l'Opéra" evening at the Théâtre des Champs Élysées: first Jury Prize, Deutsche Grammophon Prize, Opera Musica Prize, as well as the Audience Prize. In July 2017, she embodied the roles of the Nymph of the Thuileries, Proserpine and Céphise in Alceste de Lully at the Festival de Beaune with Christophe Rousset and "Les Talents Lyriques", whose recording has just been released. Then, we hear it at the Colmar festival during a concert in tribute to Michel Plasson. More recently, she sang in La Nuit de Walpurgis by Mendelssohn with the Orchester de Paris, conducted by Thomas Hengelbrock at the Philharmonie de Paris. With her pianist Qiaochu Li, she won the Grand Prix Duo of the Nadia and Lili Boulanger international competition. Last April, as part of the Opéra Grand Avignon season, she was doing the resumption of a chamber opera by Lionel Ginoux Vanda recently performed at the Reims Opera in a staging by Nadine Duffaut. Then, in May, she played Sesto in the Clemency of Titus by Mozart under the direction of Marc Minkowski at the State Theater in Prague. Recently, she sang alongside Mariana Flores in a program around the work of Cavalli under the direction of Leonardo Garcia Alarcon. We can also hear it this summer at the Radio France Montpellier festival in a program of French melodies, at Orange for the concert by Adami, as well as at the Menton festival in the Actéon by Charpentier and Didon and Enée with Talents Lyriques directed by Christophe Rousset.
