In 1955, in Trinité-sur-mer, Lucien Petit, ambitious pastry cook, accidentally invented a pastry recipy: a thin rolled biscuit, the pure butter “cigarette”. Its success involved all the family in a great challenge: the creation of the “La Trinitaine” biscuit plant.
In 2016, the third Petit’s generation pursued the development of the biscuit plant, adding to the “cigarette” biscuits several further specialties: “galettes”, “palets”, “madeleines”, “quatre-quarts” and filled cakes, always preserving a traditional expertise. “La Trinitaine” also trades a selection of regional products.
Going beyond the history written by the same family for three generations (the Petit family), la Trinitaine has been committed for 61 years to respect its values, its expertise and its territory: Brittany.
